AndreasHelps – Food Distribution

We give out ready-packed bags of food to those needing help on Thursdays between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm at Korkeavuorenkatu 22. We are open for all, so anyone is welcome to come and queue for a food bag.

Since 2015, AndreasHelps food distribution has been open every Thursday. The number of customers has grown sharply. As a result of the Covid pandemic, the Ukrainian conflict and rising food prices, the need for help has been greater than ever. Today, between 500 and 600 customers a week visit AndreasHelps, with over 40 volunteers helping out. Many of the volunteers are from different churches, but some have started helping after seeing the winding queue on the street outside Andreaskyrkan. Among the customers are Finnish citizens, immigrants, asylum seekers, undocumented migrants, the homeless, people of all ages, families with children, single parents, students, Christians, Muslims, and people of no faith. All are welcome to our food distribution.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO HELP?
